Deputy Commissioner honoured the meritorious students who topped in Himachal Board examinations

Una, June 10- Deputy Commissioner Una Jatin Lal specially honored 11 meritorious students of government schools of Una district who secured place in the top 10 merit list of the state in the board examination results of class 10th and 12th in his office on Tuesday. The Deputy Commissioner honored Palak, a student of Government Senior Secondary School Ambota who secured third position in the state in the 12th board examination, Gagandeep of Government Senior Secondary School Pubowal who secured fourth position, Sakshi of Government Senior Secondary School Badhera Rajputan who secured fifth position, Shagun of Government Senior Secondary School Chowki Manyar who secured seventh position and Ananya of the same school who secured eighth position by giving the holy chunari of Mata Chintapurni, cash and other gifts. At the same time, he felicitated Maninder Kaur of Government Senior Secondary School Dehlan and Nipun Sharma of Government Senior Secondary School Thana Kalan, who secured sixth position in the state in the 10th examination, Tina Devi of Government Senior Secondary School Pubowal, who secured eighth position, Yashita of Government Senior Secondary School Badhera Rajputan, who secured ninth position, Aarushi of Government Senior Secondary School Joh and Akshita of Government Senior Secondary School Badhera Rajputan, who secured tenth position, by giving them holy chunari, cash and other gifts.
The DC said that the purpose of felicitating the children is to honour and motivate the students for their academic achievements so that they continue to strive towards excellence in future as well.
During this, Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal also extended heartfelt wishes and congratulations to all the meritorious children for their achievements. Along with this, he advised the students to move ahead in life with full dedication, hard work and discipline and said that education is the only medium that empowers a person and gives the ability to bring positive change in the society.
The DC said that the students are not only bringing glory to their families and teachers, but are also increasing the prestige of the entire district. Such students play an important role in actively contributing to the progress of the nation in future.
After this, a cricket kit was provided to the Yuvak Mandal of Nangra by the District Red Cross Society to promote sports activities. During this, the Deputy Commissioner asked the members of the Yuvak Mandal to stay away from addiction and include sports in their daily routine and also inspire others towards sports so that more and more youth can keep their body healthy by joining sports.
On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner gave detailed information to the children about the Samarthya Yojana being run by the District Administration. On this occasion, Deputy Director Higher Education Anil Kumar, District Red Cross Secretary Sanjay Sankhyan, Yuvak Mandal Nangra Pradhan Palwinder and Secretary Sarvjeet, among others, were present.
