"Save Shivalik organizes awareness seminar for environmental conservation - Let's save Mother Earth!"

Hoshiarpur- On the occasion of World Environment Day celebrated on 5th June, 'Save Shivalik Save Mother Earth' organized a grand and enthusiastic program at the holy place of Sanatan Brahmgyani Saint Baba Ghara Das Ji in village Berchha. The main objective of this program was to spread awareness about environmental conservation and to encourage the young generation to live an eco-friendly life.

Hoshiarpur- On the occasion of World Environment Day celebrated on 5th June, 'Save Shivalik Save Mother Earth' organized a grand and enthusiastic program at the holy place of Sanatan Brahmgyani Saint Baba Ghara Das Ji in village Berchha. The main objective of this program was to spread awareness about environmental conservation and to encourage the young generation to live an eco-friendly life.
The chief guest of this program was Sardar Jagmohan Singh Babbu Ghuman and the special guest was Sardar Anjan Singh, DFO Dasua, which further increased the importance of the program.
Under this program, a chart making competition was also organized on 4th June, in which school students and youth from nearby villages participated enthusiastically. This competition showed the growing environmental awareness among the youth.
During the main program, various dignitaries presented their views on environment. President of NGO A4C Dasua, Prof. Sanjeev Kumar said that the earth's environment has become unstable due to excessive exploitation for human interest. If responsible steps are not taken even now, the coming generation will have to suffer huge losses.
Lecturer Kulwinder Singh, President of SC-BC Federation Punjab, appealed to the people to adopt an eco-friendly lifestyle and contribute to sustainability. Gurkirpal Bodal, President of the organizing body, said that the environment is a moral heritage for our future generations and every community should take initiative to plant trees and save drinking water sources.
To mark the importance of this day, commitment towards environmental conservation was expressed by planting a Suhanjana tree on the occasion. The winning students of the chart-making competition were honored with prizes. Other dignitaries who attended the program were also honored for their contribution.
Special guests in this program included Range Officer Reet Mahendra Singh, Daljit Kumar (Block Officer Kapal), Dr. Hardeep Singh (Deep Hospital), Architect Pawan Kumar Jassal (Dasua), famous wrestler Sandeep Duggal, Master Gurjit Duggal, Panchayat members of village Berchha and Bodal Cantonment, Mandeep Dhindsa (Miri Piri Sewa Society, Garna Sahib), Paramjit Ghuman (Yuvak Subhavan Club, Usman Shaheed) and Advocate Ramandeep Singh (Berchha).
The following members of the organization played an important role in the success of this program: Prof. Jasvir Bodal (Vice President), Gurinder Safary (Secretary), Praveen Magat (Media Incharge), Balwinder Kaur Lagana (Women Wing Incharge), Advocate Navdeep Kaur, Jasvir Singh (Librarian and Organizer), Kamaljit Kamal (Car AC Expert) and Yograj Berchha.
The program concluded with a joint oath by all to work together to protect nature, conserve resources and protect the environment.
