Patiala- Shiromani Akali Dal President Giani Harpreet Singh today held an important review meeting of the entire leadership. The latest situation in Punjab was reviewed in the review meeting. The permanent relief camps being set up by the party at various places were discussed in detail. After receiving information from the leadership, it was decided to postpone the General Delegates' meeting called on September 25. This decision was taken keeping in mind the suggestions and feedback received from the leadership.
On this occasion, President Giani Harpreet Singh encouraged all the youth including the party workers serving in the flood-affected areas and said that today the youth of Punjab is facing the natural tragedy with determination. The youth of Punjab have set an example before the world by presenting their siddiq in times of great trouble.
On this occasion, the entire leadership was assigned the duty of various flood-affected areas. The entire leadership will go to the affected areas and prepare a list of essential items so that the demands of the affected families can be met as per their needs. As per the suggestions received from the relief camps, the party leadership will contribute towards the arrangement of diesel for removing soil from the farmers' fields as well as for the repair of houses. Along with this, medical kits and medical teams will be sent and medical camps will be organized compulsorily as per the fear of spreading diseases due to this natural disaster. Along with this, it was already decided by the party that stationery, books and uniforms will be arranged for school children.
