Una, May 21- Deputy Commissioner Una Jatin Lal visited Indira Gandhi Sports Stadium Una on Wednesday and took stock of various development works going on in the indoor and outdoor stadium there. During this, he reviewed the progress of the construction work and gave necessary directions to the concerned officers to expedite the construction work as well.
The Deputy Commissioner said that under the Samarthya Yojana in Indira Gandhi Sports Stadium, a modern basketball court is being constructed in the outdoor stadium complex, which aims to provide better sports facilities to the youth of the district and provide a suitable platform to hone their talent.
During this, the Deputy Commissioner also interacted with the players practicing there and listened to their problems and suggestions. He assured the players that the district administration is committed to strengthening the sports facilities and more facilities will be made available in the coming time.
On this occasion, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Uttam Dod and other departmental officers were also present.
