Jalandhar- Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee President Ajmer Singh, General Secretary Prithipal Singh Marimegha and Cultural Wing Convener Amolak Singh in a written press statement said that on one hand the people of Punjab are in deep shock due to the possibility of war, especially the people of border areas are forced to migrate and on the other hand, people are feeling themselves to be victims of a double war due to the attacks being carried out from above to snatch the precious natural resources of our country, especially the lands of the settlers and common farmers of Punjab, hidden behind the clouds of war.

In this way, the BJP government is currently hunting down the tribals and people raising their voice for their rights in the forests and mountains on a large scale, flouting all laws and rules, which should be stopped immediately. He said that war, lathi, bullets are not the solution to the problems of the people, but are a way to increase the problems and make them even more complicated.
He said that instead of holding the hand of the people of Punjab at such a time, in the midst of blind nationalism and under the guise of 'war', people are being deprived of their democratic rights to assemble, protest and raise their voice for their rights, just like in the 'Corona' period, the latest example of which is the closure of 'The Wire' in India, which is a highly condemnable incident. It is noteworthy that Siddharth Ranjan, editor of The Wire, went to the Gadri Babas' fair as the keynote speaker and gave an effective message.
Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee has specially appealed to the people of Punjab to be cautious about the wind of communal extreme nationalism, maintain mutual brotherhood and strongly demand from the government that the forces creating an atmosphere of war should be reined in and the forces suppressing the voice of peace-loving, anti-war and people-friendly forces should not be reined in.
