Pakistan violates ceasefire along LoC for 7th consecutive night.

Srinagar, May 1 - Pakistani security forces today resorted to unprovoked firing in several sectors of three border districts of Jammu and Kashmir for the seventh consecutive night. Army officials said that on the intervening night of April 30 and May 1, unprovoked small arms firing was carried out from Pakistani army posts along the LoC in Kupwara, Uri and Akhnoor sectors in Jammu and Kashmir. The Indian Army gave a befitting reply to this firing.

Initially, unprovoked small arms firing began at several posts along the LoC in Kupwara and Baramulla districts of north Kashmir, but Pakistan extended the ceasefire violation to Poonch sector and later to Akhnoor sector of Jammu region.
After this, on Tuesday night, several posts along the Line of Control in Sunderbani and Nowshera sectors of Rajouri district were subjected to small arms firing. After this, on Wednesday, the firing extended to Pargwal sector along the international border in Jammu district.
