Mandi Gobindgarh, February 27- The two-day 4th International Northern Region Anatomy Symposium-2025 organized by the Department of Anatomy, Desh Bhagat Dental College & Hospital began today at Desh Bhagat University.
The conference was inaugurated by Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University Dr. Zora Singh and Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tejinder Kaur in the presence of President Dr. Sandeep Singh, Vice Chancellor Dr. Abhijit Joshi, Advisor to Vice Chancellor Dr. Varinder Singh, Vice President Dr. Harsh Sadavarti, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Medical) Prof. Dr. Bachan Lal Bhardwaj, Registrar Surinder Kapoor, Dean Academics Dr. Sunil Malhan and Principal Dr. Vikram Bali.
The Chief Guest of the program was Prof. (Dr.) Kanchan Kapoor, Former Head, Department of Anatomy, Government Medical College & Hospital, Chandigarh. Dr. Ajit Pal Singh, Administrative Secretary of the conference delivered the keynote address of the symposium. The symposium was attended by 300 offline delegates and more than 100 delegates from the US, Canada, Austria and more than 10 states of India such as Tripura, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Chandigarh, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, New Delhi, Shillong and Madhya Pradesh who connected virtually to attend the conference.
The conference was attended by many foreign delegates and national delegates from the South through virtual mode. After the keynote address, the conference started with plenary sessions which included several high level speakers including Dr. Sahil Thakur (Himachal Dental College, Sundernagar), Dr. Harpreet Singh Gulati, Professor (Dr) Hitant Vohra from DMC Ludhiana, Dr. Preeti Kheterpal from Central University of Punjab, Bathinda, Dr. Jaswinder Kaur from MM College of Medical Sciences & Research, Sadupur, Chandigarh, besides Nutritionist Mr. Amritvir Singh Deol, Dr. Nitin Verma from Government Dental College, Amritsar, Dr. Inderjot Singh from Christian Dental College & Hospital, Ludhiana.
