The statement said that seeking votes by political parties on the basis of caste, sect, religion and race is a legal offense under Section 125 of the Representation of the People Act 1951. But announcements of special concessions to religions, castes, communities and sects by political parties and ministers are being made openly ignoring the law. Haryana's BJP government has repeatedly criticized the release on parole of the Dera chief, who is jailed for serious crimes like rape and murder. He said that BJP is trying to get the votes of Dera devotees by repeatedly granting parole to the Dera chief. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is playing dirty tricks to get votes by giving hate speeches against the Muslim community in the name of Ram Mandir. But the Election Commission is not taking any legal action against him.
On this occasion, the zone leaders alleged that due to the mutual collusion of political parties, governments and religious groups doing communal politics of religion and caste, the country's Prime Minister, Chief Minister, Union Ministers, MPs, MLAs and candidates contesting elections are openly and He is holding a special meeting with the Dera heads of Beas Deras and seeking votes for his party. He appealed to all sections of people to avoid the scams of these camps and communal political leaders, stick to their organizational struggles and vote only for honest and people-friendly candidates.
Also, the rational leaders demanded the Supreme Court and the Central Election Commission to ensure free and fair elections free from government pressure to address the apprehensions expressed by the democratic institutions of tampering of EVMs and vote percentage data throughout the election process. That it should be operated in a transparent and democratic manner. Baljinder Swajpur, Balwinder Nawanshahr, Mohan Bika, Baljinder Tajowal, Harjinder Sunni, Baljeet Khatkar, Sukhwinder Langeri, Gurnam Garhshankar, Master Raj Kumar, Kulwinder Khatkad, Ninder Mai Diya and Harcharan Nora etc. were present on this occasion.
