Along with the concerned officials, he took information about the work to be done under the renovation and beautification of the pond and gave guidelines.

The Deputy Commissioner directed to speed up the tender process for all the works like selfie point, cafe, park beautification, lighting and voting facility in the pond.
Let us tell you, earlier, during his visit to Pubowal, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri had said that Rs 2 crore would be spent on the beautification of the pond. Scientific arrangements are being made to clean the pond water and pour the water into the pond by purifying the village drainage. He has emphasized on developing it as a picturesque place where there are arrangements for people to walk, entertainment and games for children. Under this project, a grand fountain will also be installed on the lines of Sector 17 of Chandigarh. The Deputy Chief Minister had also directed the officials to prepare a master plan for the development of the area along with the pond.
The Deputy Commissioner inspected all these works during his visit on Wednesday and reviewed the progress of the project. During this, SDM Haroli Rajiv Thakur, BDO Virendra Kaushal and other officers and Baba Santosh Das Bittu of Dera Baba Shri Chand Ji and Panchayat representatives were present.
