
Panjab University begins three-day faculty development programme on universal human values
Chandigarh, 19 February 2025- A three-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Universal Human Values (UHV) commenced today at Panjab University, Chandigarh. Organised in collaboration with the UHV Cell, CIIPP, and Swami Vivekananda Centre, UIET, the program has brought together 45 delegates from Chandigarh, Punjab, and Haryana to explore the principles of UHV and their role in fostering universal happiness.

Organised in collaboration with the UHV Cell, CIIPP, and Swami Vivekananda Centre, UIET, the program has brought together 45 delegates from Chandigarh, Punjab, and Haryana to explore the principles of UHV and their role in fostering universal happiness.
The event was inaugurated by Prof. Sanjay Kaushik, Chief Guest, who commended the ongoing efforts to integrate Universal Human Values into education and society. In his welcome address, Workshop Coordinator, Prof. Shankar Sehgal, emphasised the strong connection between UHV and universal happiness, underscoring its significance in both personal and professional life.
The Inaugural Ceremony witnessed distinguished speakers, including Prof. Shivani Sharma, Prof. Sanjeev Puri, and Prof. Deepak Kumar Gupta, who shared their thoughts about the importance of UHV in shaping a harmonious and ethical society. Additionally, Dr. Priya Darshni from AICTE, the resource person, led an interactive session on the practical implementation of UHV concepts in everyday life.
Faculty members, staff, and students have actively engaged in discussions, expressing appreciation for the initiative. The program aims to deepen the understanding of Universal Human Values, reinforcing Panjab University's commitment to holistic education and ethical leadership. Today's program concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr. Garima Joshi.
