While talking to journalists on this occasion, MLA Kulwant Singh said that the Aam Aadmi Party government led by Bhagwant Singh Mann is constantly making efforts to make women self-reliant and the center opened for sewing training will make girls self-reliant and this will give them permanent employment.
He said that they will also market the clothes prepared by them and any needy girl who wants a sewing machine will also be given a sewing machine for their homes. Lions Club Panchkula Premier has always played a leading role in social service works and today a sewing skill development center has been opened in Kumbra to make girls self-reliant. Through which the girls of the area will be able to learn the skill of sewing and become self-reliant.
Today, 24 machines have been placed for these girls in this center so that more and more girls can learn the skill of sewing in groups and after gaining expertise in sewing work at their own level, they can help themselves and their families financially by doing sewing work at their own level. While talking to other journalists, MLA Kulwant Singh said that all the members and office bearers of Lions Club deserve congratulations for the fact that they keep making meaningful efforts to make girls self-reliant.
He said that Lions Club Panchkula Premier will be given all possible help from the government and efforts will continue to open such centers at other places as well.
