Una, January 14- Deputy Director District Sainik Welfare Board Una, Lieutenant Colonel SK Kalia, while giving information, said that the 9th Ex-Armed Servicemen Day was celebrated on Tuesday in the district office premises. 
He said that this day is celebrated every year on January 14 in the memory of the first Field Marshal General KM Cariappa. He retired on this day. During this, gallantry award winners and Veer Naris were also honored by giving Himachali cap and shawl. These included 8 Veer Naris, mothers, one Veer Chakra, two Shaurya Chakra and Vishisht Seva Medal. Apart from this, the Deputy Director also threw light on the problems of ex-servicemen and their solutions and other important information.
