Patiala, December 11- Lovepreet Singh, son of Sukhwinder Singh and Gurcharan Singh Antal, residents of village Malkpur Jatt, have alleged that they have purchased seven bighas of land in village Salempur Sekhan Tehsil Rajpura but SDM Rajpura is not registering its transfer for the last one year. Gurcharan Singh Antal, Lovepreet Singh and their associates, while addressing a press conference at Patiala Media Club here today, alleged that their transfer is pending with SDM Rajpura since January 29, 2024. He said that a stay order was wrongly imposed on the land they had purchased. Which has also been corrected by the Patwari. The case going on in the court regarding this ended on March 21, 2024. He alleged that SDM Rajpura is repeatedly giving dates.
He said that his date was on December 9 and when he went to the SDM office, the employees said that your date has been fixed again. He alleged that when we tried to meet the SDM, he called us to the court room. We said that if you do not give us the transfer, we will sit on a dharna. The SDM got angry at this and threatened us that he will file a false case against us and send us to jail. These people said that we are currently giving 25 days to the SDM. If we are not transferred, we will sit on a permanent dharna outside the SDM office.

SDM's side
When I contacted SDM Avikesh Gupta in this matter, he said that these people are trying to put pressure on me. He said that I have made a written request to the Deputy Commissioner that this case be transferred from me and handed over to another officer. He said that the decision of any case cannot be taken without hearing the other side.
