Hoshiarpur- The foundation stone of the new building to be built under the ‘School of Happiness Project’ of Government Elementary School Adamwal was laid today by local MLA Brahm Shankar Jimpa. On this occasion, he said that due to the foresight of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains, concrete steps are being taken towards raising the standard of government schools in Punjab.
MLA Jimpa said that this project has been started to motivate children to study in a playful way and to provide them with a better environment. An amount of Rs 40 lakh 40 thousand has been allocated for this project. The MLA said that with modern facilities and an inspiring environment, this school will play an important role in the all-round development of children.
Under the project, the basic facilities in the school are being improved and education will be made enjoyable and effective for children. On this occasion, the MLA also honored the meritorious students of the school and said that this motivation will also encourage other children to perform better.
Mayor Surinder Kumar, District Education Officer (DEO) Harjinder Singh, School Head Praveen Sharma, Rajan Saini, Bakhtawar Singh, Suman Bahl, Satvir Sati and other dignitaries were present at this event.
