All teachers should take 'Parakh' seriously: Jatin Lal

03 December, Una: Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal has directed the teachers of all government and non-government schools of the district to show seriousness towards the National Survey 2024 'PARIKSHA' (Performance Assessment, Review and Knowledge Analysis for Holistic Development) being conducted to assess the quality of education and prepare all the students for it.
In a meeting held through video conferencing with district and block level officers of the education department and heads of educational institutions on Tuesday regarding the preparations for 'Pariksha', the Deputy Director of Elementary Education said that the ranking of the district and the state will be decided on the basis of this national survey.
The Deputy Commissioner said that under 'Parakh', the national level main exam will be held in 100 schools of the district on 4 December and these schools will be selected on random basis by the National Council of Educational Research and Training. That is, any government or non-government school can be selected for this. Out of these, 55 schools can be Hindi medium and 45 schools can be English medium. He said that three mock tests have already been conducted to prepare for this exam to be held for students of third, sixth and ninth class. Along with field supervisors, special observers from CBSE will also keep an eye to monitor the exam.
While extending best wishes to the officers of the Education Department and the school heads, the Deputy Commissioner said that in this year's survey, everyone should work with dedication to bring about significant improvement in the ranking of the district and the state and the educational level of the students so that the rank of Himachal Pradesh can be improved.
Sudhir Bhatia, Nodal Officer of 'PARAKH' National Survey 2024, visited various schools of district Una to monitor the progress of PARAKH activities being organized in schools for the preparation of 'PARAKH' National Survey 2024 and interacted with the students of class 3rd, 6th and 9th.
During the meeting, District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Principal Rakesh Arora, Regional Nodal Officer Sudhir Bhatia, District Coordinator Lalit Mohan and Chief Trainer Pritpal gave detailed information regarding the preparations for 'Parakh'. Deputy Director of Elementary Education Rajender Kaushal, block level officers and school heads also participated in the meeting through virtual medium.
