Hoshiarpur- Shri Guru Ravidas Janam Utsav Samiti Delhi and Chittorgarh Janam Utsav Samiti celebrated the birth anniversary of Satguru Ravidas Maharaj Ji with great reverence and respect in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. On this occasion, a grand procession was also taken out in the entire city.
During the grand function, Sant Satvinder Hira, National President, All India Dharma Mission (Regd.) India, connecting the congregation with the bhajans of Satguru Ravidas Maharaj Ji, said that Guru Ravidas Ji refuted casteism and attacked the caste pride and arrogance of the upper class.
He wanted to establish an egalitarian society by eliminating exploitation, untouchability, hypocrisy from the society. To fulfill the real purpose of celebrating the birth anniversary of Guru Ravidas Ji, we should adopt the teachings given by him and remove hypocrisy from the society and create an equal society in the world so that the dream of Begumpura shown by him can be fulfilled.
Sant Heera said that leaders of humanity have been born from time to time in the world to oppose social evils. Among them is the name of Shri Guru Ravidas ji, who laid the foundation of religious and social revolution and raised his voice against the discrimination, caste system, rituals, hypocrisy, religious fanaticism etc. prevalent at that time. According to the Manuvadi system prevalent at that time, Shudras, who were considered to be at the fourth place in the caste system, had no rights and were treated worse than animals.
Some so-called scholars used to fabricate religious texts that Shudras should neither be allowed to read nor listen to the Vedas. Due to this, orders were implemented to cut the tongue of Shudras doing any kind of religious recitation and to pour melted coins in the ears of Shudras listening to the Vedas.
Today, the Adi Dharmi society is feeling proud to walk with its head held high with the revolutionary movement of religious and social change started by Satguru Ravidas Maharaj. On this occasion, the organizing committee also specially honored Sant Satvinder Heera.
