All departments should work diligently for complete eradication of drugs - Rajesh Dhiman

Nawanshahr: The meeting of the 'ENCORD' committee formed with the aim of better coordination among departments for the prevention of drugs was held today at the District Administrative Complex under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Dhiman. During this, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the work being done by the officers of various departments in the district regarding the prevention of drugs and its ill effects and also gave them necessary guidelines.

During this, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the work being done by the officers of various departments in the district regarding the prevention of drugs and its ill effects and also gave them necessary guidelines.
During this, the Deputy Commissioner directed that all the departments should work diligently to prevent drugs in the district and take action against drug smugglers. While instructing the concerned officers, he said that for the complete eradication of drugs, the civil and police administration should continuously make all possible efforts and appropriate measures with the help of social service organizations.
He instructed the Drug Inspector to strictly stop the sale of drugs. He said that continuous checks should be done in this regard so that there is no supply of drugs. He said that to prevent the young generation from getting into the swamp of drugs, they should be associated with sports and other constructive activities so that their attention does not go towards vices. He also directed that maximum awareness should be made among the students about the ill effects of drugs in schools. Meanwhile, the police department official said that the police is continuously taking steps to prevent drugs in the district. He appealed to the common people that if any smuggler sells drugs around you in villages or cities, then they should inform the police. He said that the identity and name of the person who gives the address of the drug dealer will be kept confidential. SDM Balachor Preet Inder Singh Bains, DSP Lakhvir Singh and officers of various departments were present on the occasion.
