Hoshiarpur - Lok Sabha member Dr. Raj Kumar and Chabbewal MLA Dr. Ishank Kumar released a grant of Rs 3 crore 30 lakh to upgrade the PHC of village Chabbewal with the aim of providing better health services to the common people and formally started the work.

This PHC building will be expanded, under which 4 OPDs, Ayush OPD, Physiotherapy Center, 2 Delivery Rooms, Medical Store, Lift, Operation Theater, 2 Wards, Staff Room and Toilets on both floors will be built in the new two-storey building for the convenience of the patients.
Interlock road and parking space will also be prepared till the main building. Fire pipeline and fire extinguishing equipment will also be installed in the PHC to prevent any untoward incident.
Addressing the public gathering during the inauguration ceremony, MP Dr. Raj Kumar said that the Punjab Government is running a special campaign in the field of health and education, so that every resident of Punjab can be provided with all kinds of facilities in these essential areas. Once the new building of this PHC is built and all the health services are started, the people of the area will not have to go to the city whenever needed.
This hospital will be open 24 hours, so people can come here even at night. MLA Dr. Ishan Kumar also addressed the people present on the occasion. He said that this is another step towards fulfilling his election promises and he is fully committed to fulfill every promise made to the people of his constituency.
He said that it is his priority to improve the medical facilities in Chabbewal constituency and make them accessible to the common people. DC Hoshiarpur was present at the inauguration ceremony. Madam Anshika Jain, Civil Surgeon Dr. Pawan Kumar and SMO Dr. Manpreet Bains were also specially present. Apart from this, Shivranjan Singh Romi, Sarpanch Charanjit Singh, Gagandeep Chanthu, Anil Kumar, Naresh Kumar, Narinderpal etc. and a large number of villagers from dozens of surrounding villages including Chabbewal were present.
