Hoshiarpur: The District Employment and Business Bureau and Model Career Center conducted mass counseling programs for the students of class X, XI and XII at Government Senior Secondary School Khuda and Government Senior Secondary School Sikri regarding their future careers.
Giving information in this regard, District Employment Officer Ramandeep Kaur said that during the counseling program, the students were told about the importance of the Employment Bureau. She said that on this occasion, Young Professional Vikram Singh gave detailed information about the job efforts being done by the Placement Cell, government services to the students on the National Career Services Portal, free internet facility provided by the Employment Bureau, self-employment schemes, short-term technical courses. Apart from this, information was also given about government and banking sector jobs.
On this occasion, Varinder Kumar from the District Employment Office shared information with the students about how to get information about private job recruitment and government jobs by downloading the Employment Office's mobile app DBEE online through Google Play Store from home. In this session, representatives from various institutions of the district such as District Industrial Center, Food Craft Institute, Polytechnic College, District Education Officer and Government ITI. 
The children were informed about various streams of education such as ITI. Courses, Hotel Management Diploma, Polytechnical Diploma and self-employment schemes. During this mass counseling program, all the staff of the 8 schools concerned and about 395 students participated in this program with great enthusiasm.
