State-level equestrian games begin under "Khedan Watan Punjab Diya 2024 (Season 3)"

SAS Nagar, November 21, 2024: The State Level Equestrian Games under "Khedan Watan Punjab Diya 2024 (Season 3)" formally started today. On the first day of the competitions, various competitions were organized by the Sports Department, Government of Punjab at The Ranch, the equestrian facility at Forest Hill Resort, Village Kroran, SAS. These games will continue from November 21 to 24, 2024.

SAS Nagar, November 21, 2024: The State Level Equestrian Games under "Khedan Watan Punjab Diya 2024 (Season 3)" formally started today. On the first day of the competitions, various competitions were organized by the Sports Department, Government of Punjab at The Ranch, the equestrian facility at Forest Hill Resort, Village Kroran, SAS. These games will continue from November 21 to 24, 2024.
Giving information in this regard, District Sports Officer Rupesh Begra said in the presence of equestrian administrators Deepinder Singh and Harmandeep Singh Khaira that 15 teams, 75 horsemen and 150 riders from all over Punjab have participated in this year's games. They are competing in traditional equestrian competitions. These include jumping, dressage and tent pegging. For the first time in the history of the Games, Eventing has been introduced.
Recognized by the Indian Olympic Association, Eventing combines dressage, show jumping and cross-country. It involves a challenging 2 km course with natural obstacles - a thrilling, multi-faceted competition that tests both horse and rider. Horse lovers, sports fans and the general public are invited to attend this exciting state-level event. It will be an opportunity to experience the excitement of equestrian sports and cheer on talented competitors.
According to Mr. Rupesh Kumar Begra, District Sports Officer, S.A.S. Nagar, various age groups of sports equestrian players and athletes are being competed in during these games. In which today's results are as follows: Event: In Dressage Individual-Under-21, Kanwar Jaideep's horse Amar stood first, Kuljit Singh's horse Moonlight stood second, Jasjot's horse Fateh stood third.
Event: In Show-Jumping Under-14, Jujharveer Singh's horse Haseena, Rudraksh Sasingh's Silver Peg and Samarveer Singh's Red Rum stood first, second and third respectively. Event: In Show Jumping Normal Under-17, Dhanveer Singh's Silver Peg, Birkanwar Singh's Red Cloud, Dhanveer Singh's horse Haseena stood first, second and third respectively.
Event: In Dressage Individual-Under-17, Birkanwar Singh's Golden Queen, Sukhmani Kaur's Mustafa and Dhanvir Singh's Amar stood first, second and third respectively. Event: In Pole Bending Race Under-14, Jujharveer Singh, Birhan Singh and Amar Singh's horses stood first, second and third respectively. Event: In Pole Bending Race Under-17, Abhay Pratap Singh's Tipu, Dhanvir Singh's Badshah, Suhani Kaur Bhutani's Toofan stood first, second and third respectively.
