
Free driving classes for girls started in Hoshiarpur
Hoshiarpur - Under the 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' campaign, Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal on Tuesday flagged off the driving car and started free driving classes for needy girls. Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal said that the aim of these free driving classes is to empower girls so that they can become independent on their own feet.
Hoshiarpur - Under the 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' campaign, Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal on Tuesday flagged off the driving car and started free driving classes for needy girls. Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal said that the aim of these free driving classes is to empower girls so that they can become independent on their own feet.
He said that in this financial year, a total of 120 girls will be given driving training in three groups, in which the first two groups will have 45 girls each and the third group will have 30 girls. He invited the girl trainees to take full advantage of this facility and become more capable.
On this occasion, along with District Program Officer Hardeep Kaur, CDPO Hoshiarpur-1 Ravinder Kaur, CDPO Hoshiarpur-2 Daya Rani and CDPO-cum-District Social Security Officer Manpreet Singh, female students participating in driving classes were also present.
