Roses presented to those who followed traffic rules

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, January 17, 2025: As part of the activities being run in the district under the National Road Safety Month, roses were presented to those who followed traffic rules today, while violators were also warned. Traffic Incharge Zone-3 ASI Surinder Singh, Wing Commander J.S. Khokhar, Wing Commander Shri Grewal and students and NCC cadets of CGC Landran College participated in the awareness campaign on traffic rules at ISR lights by students and police under the leadership of DSP Karnail Singh.

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, January 17, 2025: As part of the activities being run in the district under the National Road Safety Month, roses were presented to those who followed traffic rules today, while violators were also warned. Traffic Incharge Zone-3 ASI Surinder Singh, Wing Commander J.S. Khokhar, Wing Commander Shri Grewal and students and NCC cadets of CGC Landran College participated in the awareness campaign on traffic rules at ISR lights by students and police under the leadership of DSP Karnail Singh.
DSP Karnail Singh appealed to the drivers who violate traffic rules not to violate traffic rules, this causes loss of life and property to the common people. It was also told that if a child below 18 years of age drives a vehicle, then his parents can be punished with 3 years imprisonment and a fine of up to 25 thousand rupees. The person giving the vehicle to a child below 18 years of age can also be punished with 3 years imprisonment or a fine.
Along with this, the drivers were made aware about the scheme run by the government (Scheme for Grant of Award to the Good Samaritan) and it was told that if any person helps a person who met with an accident, then he will be given Rs. 2000 by the government (under the Farishte Yojana).
