Hoshiarpur- Rotary Eye Bank and Corneal Transplantation Society under the leadership of President Sanjeev Arora and Chairman JB Bahl appointed eye specialist Dr. Manpreet Kaur as SMO who was earlier serving in Civil Hospital. On this occasion, President Sanjeev Arora gave detailed information about the works of the society to Dr. Manpreet Kaur and told that till now more than 4100 people who were living a life of darkness have been given new eyes free of cost by the society and now they are seeing this beautiful world.
Mr. Arora said that after the operation, medicines are given free of cost to the patient for 6 months so that he can take good care of his eyes. Why are most of the patients unable to buy medicines due to lack of money. On this occasion, Chairman J.B. Behl said that Dr. Manpreet Kaur has given full support to the society before this too and he hopes that the society will continue to get her support like before.
Mr. Behl said that whenever a patient used to come to Dr. Manpreet Kaur for an eye check-up, after the check-up, if the patient was suffering from corneal blindness, she would immediately contact the society and help the patient. For which the society would soon get the operation done. Dr. Manpreet Kaur, while praising the work of the society, said that the society is trying to remove blindness.
That is commendable and she said that bringing light to someone's dark life is the greatest act of piety. She also assured all possible support. Madan Lal Mahajan, Vijay Arora, Jasvir Kanwar, Ashwani Dutta etc. were present on this occasion.
