27 schools participated in DAV Public School Science Fair

Patiala, October 26 – DAV Public School Patiala organized a science fair to provide an opportunity to explore the scientific attitude, scientific thinking and educational experience as well as intellectual skills among the students. Dr. Gurbinder Singh, Director, Thapar University Derabassi Campus was the Chief Guest Mrs. Anu Tiwari and Dr. Neeraj Goyal, Prof. NR Dhamiwal (Secretary Punjab Academy of Sciences), Rohit, Mr. Rishi (Team Vedantu) and Vijay Goyal, President Patiala Social Welfare Society attended as special guests. 196 budding scientists, comprising 72 teams from 27 schools in Patiala, presented presentations on various topics. Harneet Singh (Vedantu) Dr Neenu Garg Post Doctoral Research Associate University of Edinburgh Scotland, Dr Gaganpreet Kaur, Assistant Prof (ECED), Thapar University, Patiala, Dr Anamika Sharma (CSED) Thapar University, Patiala, Dr Sushila Rai, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, Punjabi University, Patiala, Prof. Pawan Kumar, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Drug Research, Punjabi University and Mr. Gaurav Kumar, Founder and COO, Inni Virus Technology acted as judges.

Competition results
In the Science Inspired Fashion Gala, Sri Guru Harkrishna School, Patiala bagged the first prize, DAV Public School, Patiala got the second prize and Budha Dal Public School, Patiala got the third prize, the consolation prize was won by DAV Public School and the special prize was given to Tag No. 33. . Paradise International School Patiala, Budha Dal Public School Patiala and DAV Patiala bagged the first, second and third prize respectively in a spectacular performance of Jadui Pitare.
Consolation prizes were awarded to Our Lady Fatima and Scholars Public School, Rajpura. DAV Public School Patiala won the first prize, Paradise International School won the second prize and Career Academy the third prize in Scientific Home Decor. In the Advanced Robotics and AI event, Career Academy bagged the first prize, St. Peter's Academy Patiala bagged the second prize, Army Public School, Patiala bagged the third prize and DAV Public School, Patiala bagged the consolation prize.
Addressing the audience, DAV School Principal Vivek Tiwari said, "This annual grand event is our small tribute to the nation as we believe that advancements in science and technology play an important role in the development of the country and modernize our society. can liberate the motherland."
