AVTAR EDUCATIONAL TRUST Jagatpura Hosts Unique Event on Armed Forces Flag Day to Foster Development through Community Collaboration

SAS Nagar, Dec 9, 2024: To commemorate Armed Forces Flag day, AVTAR EDUCATIONAL TRUST, Jagatpura, organized a unique and meaningful event aimed at fostering collaboration between senior officers of the armed forces, Ex-servicemen and the sarpanches of nearby villages. It was attended by senior serving and retired defence forces officers.

It was attended by senior serving and retired defence forces officers.

Sanjeev Bali (Retd) Brig Randeep singh DDG Resettlement, Western command , Col Jasdeep Sandhu and many other officers graced the occasion.The event served as a platform to discuss and design actionable development plans, uniting the expertise of the armed forces with the local knowledge of village leaders.
     The program began with a warm welcome by the director, Ms kinshuka Sethi, for the senior officers, followed by an inspiring keynote address highlighting the significance of Armed Forces Flag Day and the shared responsibility of building a stronger and more resilient nation. Sarpanches from various villages participated actively, presenting their insights and challenges faced at the grassroots level.
      Through interactive discussions, the event facilitated the development of practical solutions for issues such as education, infrastructure, healthcare, and employment opportunities in the region. The collaboration aimed to blend the organizational skills and discipline of the armed forces with the sarpanches’ deep understanding of local needs.
       Speaking on the occasion, Brig Randeep Singh, DDG Resettlement, Western command said, “This initiative exemplifies how the spirit of the armed forces can be extended beyond defense to uplift and empower communities. It is heartening to see such synergy between our nation’s guardians and grassroots leaders.”  While Maj Shreya Gupta , spoke about women empowerment in rural areas. Col Jasdeep Sandhu, spoke about the importance of combined efforts for giving an impetus to the developmental activities.
     The event concluded with a commitment from both sides to work together in the future to implement the plans discussed.
     This Armed Forces Flag Day event not only commemorated the sacrifices and contributions of our armed forces but also inspired hope for a united effort towards rural development.
