The marriage of the deceased girl was scheduled on October 27, due to which the entire family was busy with the wedding preparations. The deceased has been identified as Jaspreet Kaur, a resident of Kamboj Nagar.
His brother Anmol has been seriously injured in the incident and has been referred to Ludhiana. Another youth named Lalli, who is said to be the cousin of this girl, has also died.
In the incident, two other brothers Harpreet Singh and Akashdeep Singh son of Harmesh Singh resident of Basti Bagh Wali were also shot, out of which Akashdeep (23) died, while Harpreet Singh (27) is undergoing treatment in a private hospital here. As soon as the incident was reported, SSP Soumya Shamira along with a heavy police force reached the spot.
Three suspects were caught in the CCTV camera
Three suspected accused of the shooting incident that happened in the city today have been caught in the CCTV camera installed at one place.
The police has appealed to people for their cooperation by releasing their picture on social media. The police have said that if anyone recognizes these three, they should immediately inform the police. Police officials have claimed that the accused will be arrested soon.
