Patiala, August 3 - Punjab government is providing 43 types of services to the people by reaching their homes. The 1076 helpline being run to provide better administrative services to the residents of the state is also proving to be effective for the residents of Patiala. Under this, any citizen can get 43 types of services including caste certificate, residence certificate, marriage certificate, birth/death certificate, labor card etc. by calling the phone number 1076. Aspirants for these government services related to various offices can get the services by calling the government representative at their home.
 Giving information in this regard, Deputy Commissioner Shaukat Ahmed Pare said that 7 representatives have been appointed in the district to provide various types of government services to the people at their homes. He said that so far 4420 people of the district have been provided services while sitting at home. He said that with this facility, common people save their time by going to and from the offices. He said that under this service, the service assistant comes to the citizen's home and takes his application, obtains the photo and other documents and delivers the certificate to the citizen's home after the work is done.
He appealed to the residents of the district to call 1076 through this door step service provided by the Punjab government and save their valuable time by availing the administrative services at home.
