Patiala, December 23 - Patiala Police has arrested a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and claimed to have recovered two pistols and 10 rounds from him. Speaking to the media here today, Varun Sharma, Senior Captain of Police, said that the special operation launched by the Patiala Police against gangsters/criminal persons for some time got more strength when the CIA staff during the special operation of Patiala Deepak Banur (Lawrence Bishnoi Gang) member Narendra Sharma alias Shankar tenant Baba Deep Singh Colony Rajpura Police Station City Rajpura arrested and recovered 10 rounds including 2 pistols .32 bore from him. A white Swift car PB-12AF 1968 used by the accused for criminal activities has also been recovered.
  The SSP further informed that the arrested Narinder Sharma has been involved in criminal activities since 2014 against which 5 cases of robbery, car theft, arms act and fighting are registered in different police stations of district Patiala, district SAS Nagar Mohali and Haryana. He has been sentenced by the court in some cases and is now on bail in some cases.
  He has been very close to Lawrence Gang members Deepak Banur, Goldie Shergill and Goldie Dhillon. Goldie Shergill was arrested by the Patiala police some time ago with 2 pistols of .32 bore. He has also been in touch with other gangsters during his jail term, due to which now he came out on bail and started supplying arms to carry out various criminal activities at the behest of the gangsters. He has been involved in many other incidents. The SSP said that Narinder Sharma was produced in the court and remanded in police custody and is being interrogated in depth about the recovered pistols.
