During the meeting, the District Vaccination Officer Dr. Seema Garg shared the information that the U Win portal and government and private hospitals have come to the first place in the state to update vaccination information on time. The Deputy Commissioner appreciated the efforts made by all the health officials and encouraged them to maintain it.
The Deputy Commissioner, while reviewing the various schemes being run by the Health Department, directed that health facilities should be provided smoothly to the residents of the district. He said that it is also very important to make the public aware about the related schemes, so that they can take advantage of these schemes only with awareness. He said that activities should be accelerated to deliver pregnant women in maximum number of government hospitals. He said that financial assistance given to women belonging to BPL families during delivery should also be given in a smooth manner. He instructed to ensure the inspection of medical stores under the Drug and Cosmetic Act and said that strict action should be taken if irregularities are found. He said that maximum awareness should be spread regarding the disease of TB and that such patients should be treated immediately.
Earlier, Komal Mittal while addressing a meeting regarding road safety said that to prevent road accidents, work should be done on the blind spots marked in the district and all necessary arrangements should be made there except traffic lights, so that precious lives are saved. can be saved He said that under the Ferishte scheme of the Punjab government, Rs 5,000 will be given to the helpful persons who save the lives of the victims of road accidents.
