Washington, May 26 - US President Donald Trump has made a scathing comment on his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, saying he has 'gone completely crazy' in the wake of Russia's drone and missile attacks on Kiev and other Ukrainian cities for the third consecutive night.
Trump wrote in a post on social media on Sunday night, "I have always had a very good relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin, but something has happened to him. They have gone completely crazy.’’ The US President said that Putin is ‘taking too many lives needlessly.’’ He said that ‘missiles and drones are being fired at Ukrainian cities for no reason.’’
Russia launched a large-scale attack with drones and missiles in the Ukrainian capital Kiev and other areas of the country, killing at least 12 people and injuring many more. According to Ukrainian officials, the attack is the largest airstrike since Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022.
The US President warned that if Putin wants to take over all of Ukraine, it will ‘lead Russia to its downfall!’’ Trump also expressed disappointment with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. He said he was "not doing his country any good with the way he's talking." Trump wrote on social media, "Everything that comes out of his mouth creates problems. I don't like it and it would be better if it were stopped."
