In which Deputy Mass Media Officer Dr. Tripta Devi and Deputy Mass Media Officer Ramandeep Kaur shared awareness activities related to the campaign with LHVs from different blocks. BCC coordinator Amandeep Singh and Daljit Kaur were also present on this occasion. Sharing information during the meeting, Dr. Tripta Devi said that during the first phase related to World Population Day, which was celebrated from June 14 to June 20 as a preparatory phase, the activities to be done in the second phase have been planned. The second phase which will be celebrated as Community Awareness Fortnight from June 27 to July 10.
Meanwhile, awareness activities at the institutional level and saas bahu meetings at the village level will be organized according to the prepared micro plan. He asked the LHVs to motivate as many eligible couples as possible to adopt permanent and temporary methods of family planning during these activities. Deputy Mass Media Officer Ramandeep Kaur said that in the third phase, from July 11 World Population Day to July 24, special camps will be organized in various health institutions to adopt safe methods of family planning.
He said that eligible couples should be advised on family planning methods according to their needs after age and physical examination.
