This was revealed by Deputy Commissioner Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa while presiding over the meeting organized by the Forest Department in the district at the meeting hall of Nawanshahr District Administrative Complex.

 Additional Deputy Commissioner (c) Rajeev Verma, SDM Nawanshahr Akshita Gupta, SDM Banga Vikramjit Singh Panthe, SDM Balachore Ravinder Bansal, DSP Gurbinder Singh, Forest Division Officer Harbhajan Singh, District Education Officer Ravneet Kaur, District Development and Panchayat Officer Nidhi were present in this meeting. , Good Governance Fellow Ashmita Parmar and District Officers of various departments were present. Addressing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner instructed the concerned officials to plant saplings in villages, ponds, empty panchayat lands, schools and other government places, where the space is vacant. Tarveni must be installed especially in villages. He said that after planting the saplings, it should be ensured to take care of them. The Deputy Commissioner suggested in the meeting that the villages of Dhusi Bunn should adopt buns and plant maximum fruit trees on the buns. So that they can generate income from these fruit trees and with this they will also take care of the trees in a better way. The Deputy Commissioner said that every effort is being made by the district administration to make the environment green and pollution free. He asked the forest department officer to ensure the maintenance of the trees to be planted and to achieve the set target with the support of various departments. During the meeting, the forest department distributed a pamphlet on the method of planting and maintenance and a list of district government nurseries.
