Nehru Yuva Kendra Mohali to organize 4th “Kashmiri Youth Exchange Program” from 16th November at ISR Mohali

SAS Nagar, November 15, 2024:- After the successful organization of “Kashmiri Youth Exchange Program” in the previous years, the fourth Kashmiri Youth Exchange Program for the year 2023-24 is being organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, working under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs. Under this, 1800 Kashmiri youth including 180 team leaders will be provided an opportunity to visit 15 important places of the country.

SAS Nagar, November 15, 2024:- After the successful organization of “Kashmiri Youth Exchange Program” in the previous years, the fourth Kashmiri Youth Exchange Program for the year 2023-24 is being organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, working under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs. Under this, 1800 Kashmiri youth including 180 team leaders will be provided an opportunity to visit 15 important places of the country.
In this regard, Nehru Yuva Kendra, ISIRS SAS Nagar, Mohali is organizing a 6-day “Kashmiri Youth Exchange Program” from 16 to 21 November 2024 at the Indian Institute of Science Educational and Research, Mohali. In this program, 120 Kashmiri youth in the age group of 18-22 years from 6 selected districts of Kashmir Valley (Anantnag, Kupwara, Baramulla, Budgam, Srinagar and Pulwama), along with 12 team leaders; will participate to explore the culture and heritage of the host state.
The program aims to motivate and sensitize the participants to act as advocates for national unity, integrity and peace among the youth of Kashmir Valley and to provide opportunities for the participants to visit various places of cultural, industrial, historical, religious and educational interest of the country. Also, attention will be drawn to the availability of various developmental activities, skill development, educational and employment opportunities in different states of the country to provide opportunities in technological and industrial advancement to the Kashmiri youth.
These delegates will visit Punjab Vidhan Sabha, Chapparchiri, Chhatbir Zoo, Sukhna Lake, Rock Garden, Rose Garden etc. and will also participate in campaigns like “Swachhta Hi Sewa” and “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”. Awareness sessions will be organized for Kashmiri youth on Government of India’s flagship programmes, leadership skills, career guidance and counselling, entrepreneurship etc. The group will return on 21 November 2024.
