Karnal, 6th August- In Karnal, Haryana, a youth was shot dead in the market area on Wednesday night. The youth was going to his sister's house on his Activa, when two bike-borne assailants chased him and executed the crime. The seriously injured youth was taken to hospital, where he died during treatment. Police have registered a case and started investigation. The deceased has been identified as Biru (28), resident of Sadar Bazar. According to information, he was passing near Bhagwadia Gas Agency at night. Meanwhile, two miscreants who came on a bike approached him and shot him in the head. As soon as he was shot, he fell on the road, while the accused fled from the spot.
After the incident, people nearby first took Biru to Karnal Medical College Hospital. From there, seeing his serious condition, he was referred to Amritdhara Hospital, but he succumbed during treatment.
As soon as information was received, several police teams reached the spot. One bullet shell has been recovered from the spot and the area has been sealed and investigated. The body has been sent for postmortem.
The family members have also given the police names of some suspects and have demanded early arrest. Till late night, family members and people of the community remained gathered outside the hospital and kept demanding arrest of the accused. Police officials say that a case has been registered against two unknown bike-borne attackers. CCTV footage of the surrounding area is being scanned and investigation is being done from various angles. At present, efforts are being made to find out the reasons behind the murder.
