Girl students gaining experience in Information and Public Relations Office
Karnal, 6th August- District Information and Public Relations Officer Satyawan Mahiwal said that 16 girl students of Government Women's College are undergoing 7-day training in the office under Experiential Learning Programme (ELP). This training will run from 3rd to 7th August. In this sequence, on Thursday, the girl students understood the daily activities of the office. After that, they observed the Samadhan Shivir organized at the Mini Secretariat. On this occasion, SDM Devendra Sharma gave information to the girl students about the objective, functioning and positive results of Samadhan Shivir.
DIPRO said that during this, the girl students were informed about all the mediums of sending government and public welfare information by the department. Which include electronic media, radio, print media, social media, folk media, exhibition. Similarly, information about the technology unit of the office, exhibition unit, work of the department, schemes being run by the department etc. was given.
He said that for skill development of youth and to connect them with mainstream, Experiential Learning Programme has been started by MY Bharat under pilot project in the district. Its main objective is to provide youth experience of practical functioning of departments along with bookish knowledge. Under this programme, students of ITI and colleges are being attached for internship with various government departments.
Under this project, 40 departments have been identified. On completion of internship, children are given experience certificates. He said that earlier also from 1st to 7th July, 20 girl students of Government Women's College had also gained experience of department's functioning and field visit during internship on Media Mantra subject in this office.
