Three Colonies One Bulldozer An Illegal Empire Demolished

Karnal, July 24- According to the District Town Planner, a demolition drive was carried out on Friday against three illegal colonies in the Assandh area, conducted under the supervision of a Duty Magistrate and with police assistance. The first illegal colony was located on Rattak Road and spanned approximately 12 acres; here, 10 DPC structures and two boundary walls were demolished. 
The second illegal colony, covering about 6 acres, was situated behind the Public Works Department (PWD) office; in this instance, electricity poles were uprooted, and seven DPC structures along with two boundary walls were razed. Similarly, the third illegal colony was located behind Milan Palace on Safidon Road; covering an area of ??approximately 6 acres, all unpaved roads within it were demolished.
He stated that FIRs are being registered against those responsible for developing illegal colonies and carrying out unauthorized construction. Strict action will be taken against anyone promoting such illegal colonies or construction. He appealed to the public not to fall prey to the schemes of unscrupulous property dealers and urged them to build homes on plots purchased in authorized colonies within the city. He also called upon dealers to develop colonies only after obtaining a license from the Town Planning Department, Haryana.
