Special children celebrate Shri Krishna Janmashtami at Asha Kiran School
Hoshiarpur, September 06, 2026: The festival of Shri Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with great joy, devotion, and enthusiasm by special children at J. S. S. Asha Kiran Special School, Jahankhelan. On this occasion, the school children dressed up as Radha and Krishna. The main attraction of the event was the 'Handi Phod' ceremony, in which the children participated with immense enthusiasm and shared sweets.
Diploma students also participated in the function, and prasad was distributed to all present. Harbans Singh, President of Asha Deep Welfare Society, stated that festivals serve as a wonderful medium to connect children with Indian culture and values. Praising the children's talent, he remarked that every child is special and deserves equal opportunities to express their potential. School Principal Mrs. Shelly Sharma, Ram Asra, Course Coordinator Barinder Kumar, and Vice Principal Indu Bala were also present on the occasion.
