Dr Manmohan conferred with Bhushan Dhyanpuri Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award

Chandigarh, September 06, 2026: Renowned literary figure, thinker, and linguist Dr. Manmohan was honored with the 'Bhushan Dhyanpuri Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award' by the Swapna Foundation, Patiala, in collaboration with the Punjab Arts Council at Punjab Kala Bhawan, Sector-16, Chandigarh. On this occasion, he was presented with an award amount of Rs 51,000, a shawl, and a citation read by poetess Sandeep Jaswal. Program coordinator Sukhwinder Sidhu welcomed all the guests.
Speaking at the event, prominent critic Dr. Tejinder Singh highlighted Dr. Manmohan's distinguished work in the Punjabi academic world, noting that philosophy reached the common man through his writings. Dr. Harpreet described his poetry as one of resistance and dialogue for marginalized people, while Dr. Ravinder Kaur shared insights on his novels 'Nirvana', 'Man Pankhi Bhaio', and 'Sahaj Gufa Mahi Aasan'. Other speakers, including Bhupinder Singh Maan, Balijeet, Dr. Manjinder Singh, and Dr. Praveen Kumar, also praised his immense contribution to literature.
In his presidential address, eminent scholar Dr. Ronki Ram congratulated Dr. Manmohan and emphasized the necessity of meaningful dialogue. Dr. Kulpinder Sharma, President of the foundation, presented the vote of thanks. The ceremony was attended by numerous writers and intellectuals, including Jasveer Samar, Dr. Sham Singh, Bhupinder Malik, and Govardhan Gabbi.
