SIR 2026 Election Commission gives another chance to voters of the state

Chandigarh, August 29:- The Election Commission of India has again changed the dates of the SIR campaign in Haryana. According to the revised program, claims and objections can be filed from July 31 to September 30, 2026. Along with this, the claims and objections will have to be settled from July 31 to October 28. Under the revised program, the final publication of the electoral roll will now be on November 6.
Haryana Chief Electoral Officer A Srinivas said that keeping in mind the interests of the voters of the state, the Election Commission has changed the dates. This will provide relief to those eligible citizens who due to some reason have not been able to file a claim or objection related to the electoral roll within the stipulated time. He said that the Commission is working with the aim of including the name of every eligible Indian citizen of the state in the electoral roll and making the details of the voters registered in the list error-free. If the name of an eligible person is not included in the voter list, then a claim can be submitted along with the required documents and declaration for inclusion of the name through Form-6.
A total of 87262 Form No.-6 have been received till now. 6167 Form No. 7 and 79246 Form No. 8 have been received. 41,59,707 notices have been issued by the Chief Election Commission till now while 21,98,288 objections have been resolved.
All citizens are requested to check their name and details in the voter list. In case of any error, file a claim or objection within the stipulated period. Citizens can contact their BLO/ERO/AERO office for any kind of information or assistance. Apart from this, information can also be obtained through the 'Book a Call' facility on the ECINET app or through the Voter Helpline 1950.
