Second day of exhibition of historical documents and photographs in Singhwa Ragho
Hansi:– The two-day exhibition of historical documents and photographs organized from 18 to 19 August 2026 by Regional Archives, Hisar Division at Government Senior Secondary School, Singhwa Ragho had its second and final day today Wednesday. On this occasion, about 210 students and teachers from nearby schools visited the exhibition and obtained information about freedom struggle and contribution of freedom fighters. The exhibition was concluded by Sarpanch representative Naresh Naru.
Sarpanch representative Naresh Naru said that organizing such historical exhibition in rural area is a commendable initiative. This has given students opportunity to know history of their area and contribution of local people in freedom struggle. He said that such activities along with increasing knowledge of students also strengthen the feeling of patriotism in them.
Assistant Director of Regional Archives, Hisar Division Anil Kumar said that main objective of exhibition is to convey stories of contribution, sacrifice and martyrdom of heroes of freedom struggle to every person. He said that through historical documents and photographs, students get opportunity to understand history closely.
In exhibition, students and teachers of Swami Diptanand Kanya Gurukul Ghiray, St. Matthews School Chanot, L.R.M. High School Chanot and Government Middle School Sindhar participated. Students from Chanot felt proud after getting information about freedom fighter Baje Singh of their village and learned that people of their village also made important contribution in country's independence movement.
Resource person of department Rajkumar Jangra gave detailed information to students about freedom fighters, historical events and documents displayed in exhibition. He said that many freedom fighters of nearby villages struggled for country's independence in difficult circumstances, knowing which we feel pride.
Assistant Professor of Dayal Singh College, Delhi University Dr. Umashankar Singh said that such exhibition works as a strong link to connect students and common people with history.
On this occasion, school Principal Rajbala, History lecturer Manoj Mund, Vijendra Singh Nain, Education, Mukesh Rani, Vinod Prabhakar, Narendra Kumar including school staff, members of School Management Committee, Panchayat members, parents and villagers were present.
