Bathinda:- A major road accident took place on the Bathinda-Chandigarh highway near village Lehra in the early hours of Sunday. The collision was so violent that one of the cars went out of control and overturned over the divider. While both the drivers were injured in this accident, fortunately there was no loss of life (death).
According to the information received, both these cars were coming towards Bathinda from Rampura. One of these cars was being driven by a female teacher Ramandeep Kaur, who was going to her school from Rampura on duty. Meanwhile, a person from village Luhara in Ludhiana district was coming towards Bathinda in his car behind her.
Immediately after the accident, passers-by who were passing by reached the spot and informed the Road Safety Force and PCR team about it. The teams that reached the spot, with the help of local people, safely pulled out the injured trapped in both the cars and provided first aid. Later, the injured were sent to the hospital for treatment.
