Putin to Visit India for BRICS Summit
New Delhi/Moscow:- Russian President Vladimir Putin will visit India to attend the BRICS Summit. A bilateral meeting will be held between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Putin ahead of the meeting of BRICS leaders in New Delhi on September 11.
Dmitry Peskov, spokesperson for the Kremlin (the office of the Russian President), confirmed the meeting. He said that Russia considers India a strategic partner and that relations between the two countries are very important. He said that most payments between India and Russia are now being settled in their respective national currencies. Putin had earlier visited India on December 4, 2025.
