Behbal Kalan Firing Incident SIT Issues Summons to Sukhbir Badal

Chandigarh:- The SIT has issued a fresh summons to Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal in connection with the Behbal Kalan firing incident. Sukhbir Singh Badal is to be questioned regarding the firing incident on September 11. He had earlier appeared before the SIT on July 20. Now, he has been called to Chandigarh for questioning on September 11. He had earlier said that whenever the investigation team calls him for questioning, he will appear.
Meanwhile, Akali Dal spokesperson Arshdeep Singh Kaler said that the government was taking such actions to divert public attention from the real issues. Kaler stressed that the government cannot distract the public from the real issues by doing so. He said that the government had faced reprimands from the court twice in connection with the case, following which he was summoned.
