OSD Sukhveer Singh Distributes Appointment Letters to 11 Anganwadi Workers and Helpers
Dhuri, August 31:- The Punjab Government, under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is taking concerted steps to strengthen welfare services for women and children across the state. Continuing this endeavour, OSD Sukhveer Singh today distributed appointment letters to 11 newly appointed Anganwadi Workers and Helpers from the Sherpur Block of Dhuri Assembly Constituency.
Chairman of Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporation Dalvir Singh Dhillon and Waqf Board Member Dr. Anwar Bhassaur were also present on the occasion.
Congratulating the newly appointed Anganwadi Workers and Helpers, OSD Sukhveer Singh said that Anganwadi Centres play a crucial role in delivering essential government services at the grassroots level, particularly to children, pregnant women and lactating mothers. He said that the new appointments would further strengthen the functioning of Anganwadi Centres and ensure more effective delivery of welfare schemes and services to beneficiaries.
He said that the Punjab Government is committed to creating employment opportunities for youth on the basis of merit and eligibility while giving special attention to the welfare and empowerment of weaker and vulnerable sections of society. He added that various initiatives are being implemented to improve the health, nutrition, education and overall development of women and children.
Calling upon the newly appointed workers and helpers to perform their responsibilities with dedication, sincerity and compassion, OSD Sukhveer Singh said that Anganwadi personnel serve as an important link between the government and beneficiaries at the grassroots level. Their contribution is vital in ensuring that welfare schemes reach those who need them the most.
He reiterated that the state government would continue to strengthen public welfare infrastructure and ensure that government services are delivered efficiently and transparently to the people.
Chief Minister Field Officer Arvind Kumar, Zila Parishad Member Harjinder Singh Kanjhla and CDPO Kiranpreet Kaur were also present on the occasion.
