Lehragaga 02 July:- Amarinder Pal Singh, a young player from village Lehal Khurd of Halka Lehra, who represented India in the AVC Men's Volleyball National Cup organized by the Asian Volleyball Association and made India, Punjab and Halka Lehra Gaga famous by playing as a middle blocker on the field, was specially honoured by Cabinet Minister Advocate Barinder Goyal. On this occasion, Minister Goyal said that Amarinder Pal Singh is the pride and honour of Halka Lehra. Who became a source of inspiration for the youth.
Feeling proud and honoured for Amarinder Pal Singh, he said that the youth need to give up drugs today, take inspiration from Amarinder Pal Singh, become a part of sports and make their due contribution in building a strong country, society and state. He said that the Punjab government is building sports stadiums in every village so that the youth can be motivated towards sports and the players who will bring glory to Punjab at the national and international level will be specially honored by the Punjab government.
On this occasion, international player Amarinder Pal Singh said that India has won a bronze medal in the AVC Cup after 40 years. He said that he started playing volleyball from 2015-16 and became a part of the team from Punjabi University, he was selected in the Indian team in the open trial, after that he became a part of the Indian team during the trial in Bangalore, after winning the AVC Cup, now next month there is a cup in Japan, for which he will go and we hope that the Indian team will bring a gold medal for India.
He appealed to the youth to give up drugs and become a part of sports so that a strong country and society can be built. On this occasion, Minister Goyal's son Advocate Gaurav Goyal, youth leader Ajay Kumar Tholi, Megh Raj Javeen Singh, Sarpanch Lehal Khurd, SIS PAL, OSD Rakesh Kumar Gupta Vicky, besides other leaders and volunteers were present.
