Livasa Hospital launches Ortho OPD in Kotkapura
Kotkapura:- Livasa Hospital, Amritsar on Saturday announced the launch of a dedicated Ortho OPD at Dr. Ravi Bansal’s Chandigarh Child Care Hospital, Kotkapura. This dedicated OPD will be held every Sunday from 2 pm to 4 pm.
Dr. Sukhpal Singh Mann, Senior Consultant, Orthopaedics and Joint Replacement, will be available at the OPD for expert assessment of knee and joint problems.
Dr. Mann said that the aim of this initiative is to improve access to advanced orthopedic care, especially for patients suffering from severe knee osteoarthritis, chronic knee pain, difficulty in walking and disability, and who may be suitable candidates for Robotic-Assisted Knee Replacement.
He further explained that robotic-assisted knee replacement uses advanced technology and surgical planning, which helps the orthopedic surgeon achieve proper bone preparation and correct implant positioning. He informed that this method is intended to enable detailed pre-operative planning and allows for tailoring the surgical strategy according to the patient's anatomy.
