Narinder Kaur Bharaj took part in the Mission Clean Punjab campaign in Bhawanigarh

Bhawanigarh, August 29:- Under the ‘Mission Clean Punjab’ campaign being run by the Punjab government with the aim of making the state clean, beautiful and environmentally friendly, a special cleanliness campaign was launched in Bhawanigarh city under the leadership of MLA Narinder Kaur Bharaj from Sangrur constituency. On this occasion, the MLA personally participated in the cleanliness campaign and reviewed the cleanliness work in different parts of the city.
MLA Narinder Kaur Bharaj, while talking to the sanitation workers, also assured them of the necessary support to carry out the cleanliness work effectively.
Talking to the media, MLA Narinder Kaur Bharaj said that due to the strike of sanitation workers in the past few days, temporary garbage dumps had been formed in many parts of Bhawanigarh city, due to which the city residents had to face difficulties.
He said that the main dumps of the city have already been cleaned, but now the main objective of this campaign is to completely free every corner, street, road and public place of the city from garbage.
This special cleaning campaign will be run continuously for the next 10 days, so that the cleaning system of Bhawanigarh city can be streamlined again and temporary garbage dumps can be completely eliminated.
He said that the campaign will not be limited to cleaning only the main roads or prominent places, but cleaning teams will also reach the inner parts of the city and small streets.
The MLA said that to make the cleaning campaign more effective and result-oriented, the responsibility of different wards of the city has been assigned to different leaders and councilors.
Each responsible person has been given the responsibility of supervising about four wards each. The aim of this arrangement is to ensure that no garbage heap or dirty place remains deprived of cleanliness.
MLA Bharaj said that an online portal has been prepared by linking the campaign with technology. Through this portal, the teams deployed in the wards will upload a picture of the garbage place along with its location. After this, action will be taken to get the concerned place cleaned immediately.
He said that with this system, the monitoring of cleaning works will become more transparent and effective and it will also be possible to know which place needs cleaning and which place has been cleaned.
MLA Narinder Kaur Bharaj appealed to the residents of Bhawanigarh that keeping the city clean is not only the responsibility of the administration or the municipal council, but also the joint responsibility of every citizen.
He appealed to the people to throw the garbage from their houses and shops only at the designated places and not to scatter garbage in public places.
He said that if any citizen comes to the notice of a pile of garbage or any place with dirt, then he can immediately contact the Municipal Council President, EO or his office, so that the concerned place can be cleaned immediately.
He said that the aim of ‘Mission Clean Punjab’ is not only to collect garbage, but also to create awareness among the people about cleanliness and ensure a clean environment in the city. He said that if the administration, Municipal Council, sanitation workers and the city residents work together, then the goal of making Bhawanigarh a clean, beautiful and tidy city can definitely be achieved.
MLA Bharaj assured that the administration, Municipal Council and the concerned teams are working with full dedication to improve the cleanliness system of the city and the campaign will be continuously monitored during the next 10 days.
On this occasion, President of Municipal Council Bhawanigarh Avtar Singh Tari, Executive Officer (EO), councilors, party workers, sanitation workers and city residents were present.
