Kalash Yatra Arrives in Tahliwal Grand Welcome Amidst Traditional Drums and Festive Beats

Haroli/Una, August 30 (Rajveer Chopra): On Sunday, a sacred 'Kalash Yatra' (procession carrying a holy urn) arriving from Kashi-Varanasi was accorded a grand welcome with devotion and enthusiasm at the Shri Guru Ravidas Temple in Ward No. 7 of Nagar Panchayat Tahliwal. The event was held to mark the upcoming 650th birth anniversary celebrations of Sant Shiromani Shri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji.
The entire area resonated with a spirit of devotion, accompanied by the sounds of traditional drums and religious chants.
Having commenced its journey from Kashi-Varanasi, the procession reached Tahliwal on Sunday, where it was warmly received by devotees and members of the Shri Guru Ravidas community. Subsequently, the holy urn was ceremoniously installed within the temple premises following traditional prayers and rituals.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor Ram Kumar stated that the organization of this 'Kalash Yatra' is not merely a formality; rather, a series of religious and social programs will be held continuously leading up to the 650th birth anniversary celebrations of Shri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji.
He emphasized that the objective of these programs is to disseminate Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji's teachings—and his message of humanity, equality, and brotherhood—to the masses.
Office bearers and members of the Shri Guru Ravidas Management Committee, including President Ramnath Mahe and Secretary Chaman Lal, played a pivotal role in organizing the event.
A large number of devotees and dignitaries attended the program, including Tahliwal Nagar Panchayat President Niranjana Kumari; Santokhgarh Municipal Council Vice-President Advocate Sandeep Kumar; and Councilors Anu Devi, Ajay Sehgal, Dimpal Devi, Harish Kumar, Ranu Ji, Pradeep Kumar, Vivek Sharma, Jatindra Sodhi, Kulbir Singh, Puran Singh, Ashok Kumar, Mohan Lal, Shiv Kunwar, Shikha Devi, Poonam, Aanchal, Puran Thakur, Pradeep, Rakesh Kumar, Dilbag, Avtar Mahe, Rakesh Mahe, and Dilbag Mahe.
