Ambala, 30 July:- Last night, fire broke out at Aggarwal Jewellers showroom located in Pooja Complex, Ambala city. The interior part of the showroom, air conditioner, gold checking machines and other valuable goods were burnt due to fire. As the showroom was closed at the time of incident, loss of life was averted.
According to reports, around 1:20 am neighbours saw smoke coming out from the back side of the showroom and immediately informed Fire Brigade Department. Three vehicles of Fire Brigade reached the spot and fire fighters started rescue operation by opening shutters. By that time fire had spread to entire showroom. Fire brigade personnel after about three hours of hard work controlled the fire at around 4:30 am.
In initial investigation, the cause of fire is being said to be short circuit. City Fire Officer Ravinder Kumar said that valuable goods in the showroom have burnt due to fire. Damage is being assessed and actual loss will be known only after investigation is completed.
