Horrific Accident on PanchkulaYamunanagar Highway Three Killed Two Seriously Injured

Chandigarh- In a horrific road accident near Tabar village (Mauli area) on the Panchkula-Yamunanagar National Highway on Monday, two young men and a young woman travelling in a Swift car died on the spot. Two other young men were seriously injured in the accident. After initial treatment, both injured persons were referred to a hospital in Sector 32, Chandigarh.
According to reports, four young men and one young woman were travelling in the Swift car. Near Tabar village, their car was hit by an unidentified vehicle. The impact was so severe that the car was badly damaged and the occupants were trapped inside. Following the accident, chaos erupted at the spot and cries for help were heard. Local residents informed the police.
On receiving the information, Mauli Police Post in-charge Ramkaran and investigating officer Sunil Kumar reached the spot along with a police team. With the help of local residents, the police rescued the trapped occupants and took all of them to the Civil Hospital in Sector 6. Doctors declared three of them dead, while the two injured persons were referred to Chandigarh due to their critical condition.
According to the police, one of the deceased has been identified as Divya. She was reportedly a resident of Shahzadpur and worked at a private company in Mohali. The identities of the other two deceased have not yet been established. Among the injured, Pushkar, a resident of Dera Bassi (Punjab), is said to be in serious condition; he was referred to a hospital in Sector 32, Chandigarh. Meanwhile, Amit Kumar suffered an injury to his leg from broken glass while being pulled out of the car. Police said that both injured persons are undergoing treatment. Investigating officer Sunil Kumar said that the causes of the accident are being investigated. A case will be registered against the driver of the unidentified vehicle
